ZEMSIL CS-580 (3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane) is the mercapto-functional silane coupling agent equivalent to KH-580 and A-189. The free thiol group reacts directly with sulfur vulcanization systems, enabling covalent silica-rubber coupling without the need for pre-mixing with bis-silanes. Also used for gold and silver surface functionalization in biosensors and for corrosion protection primers.
