ZEMSIL SL-AK is an alkaline colloidal silica dispersion containing 30% SiO₂ as 10–20 nm discrete particles stabilized at pH 9–10.5 with sodium counter-ions. Upon drying and sintering, the nanoparticles form a continuous, high-purity silica matrix with excellent adhesion to metal, ceramic, and glass substrates. It is the preferred binder in precision investment casting shell systems and catalyst supports due to its high solid content and long shelf stability.
