ZEMSIL CS-550 (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) is the most widely used silane coupling agent, equivalent to KH-550 and A-1100. The primary amine group reacts with epoxy resins, isocyanates, anhydrides, and acrylates, while the three ethoxy groups hydrolyze to form silanol bonds with glass, silica, and metal oxide surfaces. Used as glass fiber sizing, mineral filler surface treatment in nylon and polyamide composites, and adhesion promoter in epoxy and polyurethane adhesives and sealants.
